Zewditu Ali is the casher of ORDA Ethiopia North Wollo Zone Branch Office. She has always been careful about how to handle the money they spend. This credible and prudent worker was rewarded with a reward for saving her organization money when the area was invaded by the TPLF militants.

Mrs. Zewuditu describes the situation at the time:

"When Woldiya town was invaded by the militants, I went straight to the office. I was in a state of panic, but I went straight to the cash vault, thinking about how to save the organization's cash. It was 98,273 birr and 20 cents. First I parceled the money in a black plastic bag, but it was exposable for the stranger, and changing to my bag. Consequently, I went to my home. Then I dug a hole and buried it carefully. I also kept the other documents in a safe place. When the area was under Ethiopian government control, I handed it over to my office,” she said.

ORDA Ethiopia has awarded this woman an award for her honesty and dedication to her work. It is to be recalled that the organization awarded a total of 38 employees and stakeholders.
