Alemayehu Wasse, Excutive director of ORDA Ethiopia, announces supporting displaced people in the region is extending!
The organization is providing emergency food assistance to more than 500,000 internaly displaced people from North Wollo, Waghemra, South Gondar, North Gondar, South Wollo, Oromo Nationality Administration, semi-North Shoa Zone and neighboring Afar State, the excutive director said.
In temporary shelters for internally displaced people ceneters (IDPs) water tank, toilet (10 blocks), shower (10 blocks), 8 hand washing, 8 garbage disposal , water jerry can, washing plastic and bucket of water, clothes and Soap baths, batteries, women's hygiene keeping materials, and coronavirus protection items were also delivered, he added.
Dr. Alemayehu said many people have fled their homes as a result of the war, and some are suffering from starvation in IDPs centers and harassment in their areas of residence.
The director thanked donors for their unreserved support during the crisis on behalf of the organization; he called civil society organizations for further rehabilitation activities of suffering people.
