ORDA #Charity Water Project built 81 clean water schemes & one spring development which benefits 26,000 residents in Amhara region. Executive Director of Charity Water, an aid organization, paid a field visit in Amhara Region.

ORDA’s #Charity Water Project has been implementing to deliver safe water & to keep hygine in North Shoa Zone two woredas: Basonaworena & siaydebirnewayu woredas since 2016. The project builts 81 water schemes & developing one spring those benefits 26 thosand residents in rural areas of two woredas of BasonaWorana & siyaDebirNewayu woreda, in Amhara region.
A team from #Charity water aid organization paid a field visit in Amhara region. Christoph Gorder, Excutive of Charity water, stated in the visit as he is happy for ORDA’s Charity water success in accessing people in clean water whom used to drink unsafe water. ORDA’s Deputy Director, Ato Dejene Minliku on his part stated ORDA would like to thank Charity water organization for its financial contribution to access people whom in need of potable water.

The team visited Ejersa kebele water scheme (Gotet & mehal Gotet village), Enchekorer kebele water scheme (Enechekorer Karl secondary school water scheme) & Wole kebele water scheme (Reji village). They also visited Tribe academy & Abdela shool clean water schemes in sariya kebele, Basonaworana woreda.

In the filed visit, Sean Poole, Portifolio Manager of Charity water in East Africa, Experts & ORDA authorities, North Shoa Zone Water Directive Authorities, BasonaWorana & SiyaDeber Newayu woreda authorities participated. Finally the woreda’s administration office gave recognition certificate & gift in kind for Charity water & ORDA’s team.
