ORDA Ethiopia is allocating over 171.8 million birr to rehabilitate war-torn citizens.

Top executives of the organization are undertaking a visit of reconstruction work and project activities;

The year 2021 was a year of war for all Ethiopians, especially in the north, with mass displacement, killings, rapes, looting, and massive infrastructure destruction by armed forces. In particular, the TPLF, which has been branded a terrorist by the Ethiopian government, destructed schools, health centers, and public facilities in the Amhara and Afar regions. As a result, the people in the areas where ORDA Ethiopia is engaged have suffered the worst. In particular, senior officials of the organization visited the site and inspected the infrastructure rebuilt by the organization for the benefit of the victims of the war. One of the institutions visited is Debrezebit Primary School in Meket Woreda. One block of the school was built by ORDA Ethiopia Development Food Security Activity Project and some parts of it were severely damaged during the war. It is currently being repaired by the organization.

The top management of the organization discussed with the staff of the Meket coordination office & Sekota coordination office staffs on institutional issues and current emergency food aid delivery for beneficiaries. Dr. Alemayehu Wasse, Excutive Director of ORDA Ethiopia, said during the meeting that the worest time had passed and it is the time to make a better psychological make up for the society. Ato Dejene Menelku, Excutive Deputy Director of the organization, on his part said the staff should address the problem of the beneficiaries in jenuine, loyalty and professionalism.

During the discussion, it was stated that more than 171.8 million birr budget will be provided in cash for those lost their propert by war in Sekota Coordination Office & Meket Coordination Office
