Charity Water President Visits ORDA Ethiopia Charity Water Project works

ORDA Ethiopia #CharityWaterProject has been implementing safe drinking water, personal and environmental hygiene activities in North Shoa Zone, Basona Worana, Angolala Tera and Siya Deberna Wayu woredas since January 2019. Over the past three years, the project has built 305 water points and provided access to safe drinking water to 82,486 users.

Mr. Christof Gordon, President of Charity Water, who is financing the project, toured the project in all three woredas: Basona Worana, Angolala Tera and Siya Deberna Wayu woredas. He said that he had felled good while people who have never had access to safe drinking water are having access to safe drinking water. Ato Dejene Menelku, Deputy Excutive Director of ORDA Ethiopia, on his part said all users should use the water points to ensure their long service life.

The visit was attended by ORDA Ethiopian managers and experts, North Shoa Zone Water Department leaders, Angolela and Tera woreda leaders, Basowarana woreda leaders, Siadeber Nawayu woreda leaders and local beneficiaries.
