“Invest in women Accelerate Growth !

International women’s day is celebrated each year with a motive to create conducive environment for women. The day was celebrated for 113th internationally, for 48th nationally and 29th times regionally. ORDA Ethiopia staffs celebrated with the motto ‘Invest in Women Accelerate Growth’.

ORDA Ethiopia’s Deputy Executive Director Shibre Jorga (Ph.D.) said while marking the day in her opening speech that celebrating women’s day will help to recognize figurative women, to mitigate gender inequality and to create awareness about gender based violence against women.

In the event, voluntary ORDA Ethiopia Staffs presented a theatrical dram, which focus on marginalized rural female headed family, for the attendees. Besides, a question and answer session about famous Ethiopian women was conducted.
