Turning Challenges into Opportunities: My Success Story
My name is Sisay Asfaw, a 32-year-old from Sanasabiya Kebele, Gondar City. After completing my degree in agriculture, I struggled with unemployment and uncertainty about my future.
With the support of my family, I invested 35,000 ETB to start a small poultry farm, beginning with 120 chicks. My turning point came when I joined the ADEY Project, where I received practical training in both technical and business skills.

Today, I successfully manage 1,000 layers and 700 broilers. In just two years, I have earned more than 648,000 ETB, created jobs for local youth, and contributed to reducing the food supply gap in my community.
I am deeply grateful to the ADEY Project of ORDA Ethiopia, implemented with the financial support of the Mastercard Foundation through the Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) of Ethiopia. Heartfelt appreciation to the Mastercard Foundation for making this possible.
