Trachoma Prevention
The ORDA Ethiopia’s CBM Australia project has been working since 2018 with funding from the Australian Government's Non-Governmental Organizations Cooperation Program (ANCP). To keep the beneficiary's sanitation and hygiene, it has built 13 shallow drinking water wells. It also provided eye surgery to 715 (F: 496) patients with severe trachoma, and 606 patients (F: 325) with trachoma medication. In addition, awareness-raising training has been given for health extension workers, schools anti-trachoma clubs, women associations, and WasHCo committee members.
