ORDA Ethiopia's Strengthening Food Systems for Sustainable and Inclusive Food and Nutrition Security project has been lauched.

ORDA Ethiopia's Strengthening Food Systems for Sustainable and Inclusive Food and Nutrition Security project is implemented with the financial support of Birr 68.27 million which is secured from Welt Hunger Hilfe. The duration of the project is from November 2022 to April 2027, and will be implemented in Fogera, Farta, East Estie and Guna begemeder wordas of South Gondar Zone, in 15 selected kebeles which benefits 2 thousand 785 households (13,925 beneficiaries).

ORDA Ethiopia's Deputy executive director (Programs) Ato Teshaye Asmare said in the project opening that the goal of the project is to sustainably Strengthening food systems for sustainable and inclusive food and nutrition security in four targeted Wordas and to enable kebeles to become models of good practice. Ato Tesaye added that it is possible to strengthen the food preparation and the implementation of system approaches for the local community. He also added that the project would improve access to financial services and agricultural inputs. Finally, the Deputy Director urged stakeholders to include project activities and resources in their formal plans and discharge their responsibilities properly.

In the launching workshop of the project, higher officials from the Office of Finance and Economic Cooperation (ANRS), the concerned higher officials of the woredas where the project is implemented, the heads of ORDA Ethiopia and the concerned experts were participated.
