                   ORDA Ethiopia changes its senior leadership!

ORDA Ethiopia, which has been growing in project management and resource administration, has changed its senior leadership.

The Executive Director of the Organization, Dr. Alemayehu Wassie said ORDA Ethiopia has successfully been completing humanitarian and development oriented projects in the past 38 years that has positively impacted the lives of beneficiaries.

The Executive Director also disclosed that it is imperative to replace the growing organization with new leadership and achieve better results. He also thanked the leaders who have been serving for many years and said that the new board has appointed due to the need to bring potential and energetic leaders to the frontline. Hence:-

1. Ato Tsehay Asmare, who has served as a program director for more than 12 years and has been an agricultural consultant at the Presidential Delivery Unit, replaces Ato Dejene Minliku, who has served as Deputy Executive Director (Programs) for more than 18 years. Ato Tsehay has been appointed by the Board of Directors of ORDA Ethiopia as the Deputy Executive Director (Programs) as of 1 July 2022.

2. Candidature Dr. Shibrie Jorga Tessema, who has served in various government positions including deputy of Bureau of Education, and in most recent years who stayed in the academics (awaits for her Ph.D. dissertation) replaces Ato Eshetie Gelaw who served for more than 12 years as Deputy Executive Director (Resources). Candidature Shibrie (Dr.) has been appointed by the Board since July 15, 2022.

The newly appointed leaders said they are ready to work in harmony and great essence with the leadership at all levels and the staff.

ORDA Ethiopia’s staff also welcomed the newly assigned leadership and assured them that they will work with the new leadership in a spirit of cooperation and sincerity.

ORDA Ethiopia would like to thank the previous senior management and wishes the newly appointees a successful endeavor.
