It is stated that ORDA Ethiopia has achieved remarkable results in its past strategic plans.

In the past strategic periods, ORDA Ethiopia made 138 thousand 695 hectares of land to be covered by plantation, 400 thousand watersheds developed, 5 thousand 948 water schemes built and benefited over 2.5 million people, 32 thousand hectares of farmland is being irrigated and 742 thousand 800 farmers were benefited in agriculture, dairy farm, beekeeping & shoat rearing.

One of the issues reviewed during the 12th Ordinary assembly of ORDA Ethiopia was the socio-economic changes it has made by implementing past strategic plans. Speaking on the occasion, Speaker of the House of Federation, Ato Agenehu Teshager, said ORDA Ethiopia is one of the oldest and most respected organizations in the region for the past 37 years by supporting poor households to improve their livelihoods.

The focus areas for the next 5-year strategic plan (2021-2025) are promoting sustainable natural resource management, improving family life, improving the nutrition situation of households in the ORDA-Ethiopia workplace, improving water safety, women, people with disabilities, and empowering and timely delivery of food and non-food items to the needy.

It is to be recalled that during the 12th Ordinary General Assembly, which was held on 15- January- 2022 in Bahir Dar, the amended ORDA Ethiopia's bylaw, the past 10 years performance, and the next 5-year strategic plan were ratified by the general assembly.
