Promoting Inclusive Human Right Based COVID- 19 Response Project Launched

COVID-19 pandemic has been escalating trough time and endangered the life of our people. Currently, more than 110,000 confirmed cases of COVID -19 and 1706 reports of death were reported in Ethiopia which tells us the case is gradually increasing. As result, ORDA launched the Promoting Inclusive Human Right Based COVID- 19 Response Project, a duration of six months, with an allocated budget of Birr 1.3 million funded by the European Civil society support program. It will be implemented in 5 cities of Amhara regional state: Bahir Dar, Gondar, Dessie, woldiya, and Debre Birhan.

According to Ato Dejene Minliku, Deputy Executive director of ORDA, the project targets to mitigate human rights abuse against women, children, girls, persons with disabilities, and marginalized groups in the community.
