ORDA conducted regional stakeholders’ forum to avoid overlapping of kebeles between GRAD II and Livelihood component of PSNP4 on June 25, 2018 in Dessie.

ORDA’s Livelihood for Resielency Activiity project is targeted to benefit over 36 thousand households with a total budget of 70 Mllion Birr in seven woredas (Meket, Kobo, Gubalafto, Habru, Menz Mama, Menz Gera and Wadla) of the Amhara Region.

Executive Director of ORDA, Dr Teshome Walle noted the integration of PSNP4 livelihood component and Livelihood for Resielency Activiity projects implementation should be carriedout without duplication of efforts and resources.

Stakeholders organized from ORDA, Bureau of Agriculture, Cooperative Promotion Agency and Disaster Prevention & Food Security Coordination Office signed a quadripartite agreement to effectively implement projects and address larger number of clients by avoiding the overlapping of the two programs in the same kebele.

For this purpose, ORDA, CARE Ethiopia and regional, zonal & woreda level government partners discussed and agreed on a modality to strnegthen VESA & RuSACCOs to enable them provide better service to its members.
